It's floating in there for now. After I finish running the switches into it, I'm planning to mount them using some L brackets

    10/13/09 Update:

So over the weekend I installed power door locks off a 90-92 4runner, mocked up a 99 Tacoma grill (still undecided) and installed my Viper alarm. I also integrated the airbags with the alarm to pancake when armed or pop up when disarmed. Pix coming soon.

Installing the locks was actually easy. It was the wiring them to the alarm that was frustrating. I didn't understand what the numbers 30, 87, 87a were on the diagram until I realized they were talking about relays. After that, it was plug and play. Doing the locks and installing the alarm took me about 5 hours total.

As for windows, I don't think it's really neccessary. Definitely a cool factor though. IDK, we'll see

    Thanks for the compliments

I haven't done much with the truck lately. I recently moved to Temecula so projects were put on hold. Since my last post, I did manage to integrate an arcade joystick to my center console for the airbag switches. Other than the white ball top, my interior still looks somewhat stock. I love it. I also finally installed my HID's that had been sitting around ever since I bought the projector headlights. I wasn't driving my truck at night till I moved out here and my new commute to work is pretty dark. So on they went. Drastic difference it made.

It's been awhile but here's an update

So after moving up here to Temecula ,settling down, looking for my camera, I finally got some pictures for you all.

Last month I finally scored some 350Z wheels off of craigslist. After having the centers bored out, They're finally mounted. Now I'm really looking alot like my brother's truck (even though I was looking for them first).
I got more shots of the truck's interior. You can see my center console with the integrated joystick for airbags. Check out my ambigram labeled deflate button. I thought it was a neat touch. A quick rundown: I designed the joystick this way. I can use the joystick in any independent direction to have the airbags inflate. By holding down the deflate button when using the joystick, I can have the bags deflate independently. pancake up/down was integrated into my alarm during lock/unlock sequence. I'm always trippin out and look at people's faces whenever I walk away or walk up to my truck. I can't get enough of it. I don't think I have EVER seen another bagged truck set up this way.
I also decided to change the look on the front end. The flipped 4WD grill was replaced w/a 00' grill. Plenty of trimming was involved. Although the lines don't flow perfectly, I prefer this grill over the previous.
So anyways, on with the pictures. I hope you enjoy.

    Thanks

I have been searching for these rims for a long time now, even before acquiring my lexus rims. I found them in Riverside off of Craigslist for 450 bucks but the tires were too fat and bald for me. Centers bored and new tires really make the truck pop now. As for the Lexus rims, I have a buddy down here that already called me on them. Although no money has been involved, I would have to say they are sold for now, Unless he changes his mind.

    Rims were sold

Sorry boss, Delivered the rims last Saturday and received the money Today So the rims are gone now. Personally, I think your IS rims looks sick on your truck already.

Whenever you're ready dude. I'd love to see the trucks together. Maybe even a photo shoot with our beach cruisers. That would be bad a$$!
