Blew a bag today.

    Yep, stinks. Luckily I wasn't going fast, just backing into a parking spot. And I was able to borrow a vehicle to drive off base (Cape Canaveral Air Force Station) and meet a friend who just happened to have an extra RE-6.

    Near as I can tell, (I haven't checked it out yet) there is a small rub that shouldn't be there. So it isn't a manufacturer defect or a design flaw, just shoddy workmanship.:rolleyes:

    Yep, only took 15-20 minutes to change it out without a jack. That was the good part. Thank God it didn't let loose while driving at speed. I'll post pics in a bit.....

    That does suck man. Atleast your ok. I just had a balljoint go out on my cando arms and the coding pin broke an the nut was almost all the way off that coulda been way bad for me

    It was a front, and the ball joint failure would really suck.:eek:

    Oh, and I checked, There isn't any contact on the bag other than the normal plate to bellow contact. I'm going to send it to Slam and see if they'll warranty it. I thought I saw contact before I removed it, but with the new one there isn't any there.

    Double check all clearances @ all heights ,@ all angles.
    You running tees,if so air shifts from side to side when cornering,& will cause problems!:cool:
