The ebay replacements are, but have you checked what a set of forged blower slugs will set you back  or maybe my idea of cheap differs from yours:D

Then a stock motor is your best set up.

Nitrous is safer to use over a supercharger and turbo.

    http://www.zex.com/Products/NitrousOxide/Wet4-6cyl.asp

Its a plug and play setup, easy to install, easy to use. No tuning, or stand alone unit needed, the ZEX kit has its own module that control the nitrous and added fuel.

I wouldn't say that, any setup can be safe or be a revving time bomb depending upon the tune. I'll say this much tho, I've seen more spectacular nitrous backfires blowing the intakes off of imports and domestics alike than I ever have seen or heard of blown motors from overboosting. Perhaps that is just because when nitrous goes wrong, its just that much more memorable or whatever, but still.

Any way you go, make sure you do it right and get it tuned and you will be much better off.

My vote goes for turbo tho, it can easily be upgraded if you forge your bottom end in the future, can be relatively cheaply done with some factory components if you are on a budget, and boost is as addictive as crack (and smells better when it burns too), and no realizing your bottle is empty when you go to show up a Honda and get burned.

Seems in Ca. any after market turbo won't pass smog. And I was just informed that nitrous is illegal on imports ( this is from a Ca. Highway Patrol Officer). I would go with a supper charger, but what ever you chose, check out your state laws,or you will be spending a lot more than planned!!

The bottom end components come from the factory forged. The only thing on the bottom end that isn't forged is the pistons.

    Turbo.

Forged pistons, rods, lower compression, larger fuel injectors, fuel pressure regulator and engine management...

    = Fun "daily" Yota truck.

Thats what the nitrous pressure guage is for. Plus if you have a turbo or supercharger, you are always using more gas, and then you will also need to run premium gas, as for nitrous, you use it when you need it, conserving the motor, your gas, and your money.

Expecially the cost of gas these days...

I would go with the ZEX wet system that I posted the link for. It engages when you power the system and hit full throttle. Very easy to use and install.

A supercharger is also illegal unless its CARB approved.

Why not install a supercharger and a turbo? Get the best of both...

Do you know how much work and money is it to twin-charge an engine? Let alone a 15 year old engine.

True, but if money were not an issue, it would be one hell of a unique setup. Pointless, but unique.
