She's going to be a lot of work! I bought it bagged and it needs a lot of work. Threw some old school chrome rims on it and thats about it so far. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll be re doing the rear half. Enjoy <a href="http://s826.photobucket.com/albums/zz185/joshsch/Truck/?action=view¤t=truck3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i826.photobucket.com/albums/zz185/joshsch/Truck/truck3.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Nice project. The wheels are fresh. What kinda setup does the suspension have? How is the ride? Also what are your plans for the truck if you dont mind?
fck i love those wheels. remind me of the old mini truckin days wen small ass wheels were the sh!t. Any more pics of the work thats been done to it?? The bed looks like it needs alot of body work at the tailgate
The truck is going to need a lot of work. I'm changing the whole bag set up in the back including moving the compressor, tank and all the valves. I think my compressor is going bad so I'm going to replace that all together. Looks like they rigged a lot of it together. The truck has no shocks right now so the ride isn't great. Also, the bags in the front are starting to crack, so now I have to replace all four. I left my friends house yesterday and noticed a big puddle of oil in his driveway. Looks like it might have been mixed with water. I'm thinking the head gasket might be done. We figured out yesterday that the bearing in the water pump is going out also.... So like I said this truck has turned into a big project. it will be fun though!!!
Yeah the rear of the truck needs some attention. I dont know if I'm going to keep the skin on it or go back to having a tailgate. Other then that the body is in decent condition. I am going to change the front end to a 4wd front end when I can find one for a good price.
Update!!! It's only taken a year! Picked up all the parts for the 4Runner front end conversion. I already put the fenders on and damn it makes a difference. I'm bringing it to my friends house this weekend and we're going to start a new back half on it. Plus I'm adding a 2nd compressor. I'm also going to shave the door handles while I'm at it and I'm thinking about shaving the corner lights. I shaved the antenna a few weeks ago. Pics will be coming in the next few weeks. P.S. I'm still looking for a good 92-95 4Runner bumper with good chrome. The one i have is missing chrome in a few spots.
thats a sick ride son. next time i head south lets meet up and cruise. 2 3rd gens with 4runner clips.
