as many of you know, I wrecked the front end of my truck pretty good last month.

Now its time to fix it.

"we can rebuild him, we have the technology" (and I have a welder:clapping:)

    Step 1: Tear down

Wow that was quick. Isn't the internet amazing?

Hey wait a minute, I don't think the wheels shouldn't be pointing in opposite directions..

coincidentally some guy on yotascene had some stock chromed upper arms for sale

It appears I have a bent center link too. After looking at my lower ball joints Its probably about time I change out all of the crappy chinese ebay suspension rebuild kit I put on a couple years ago . Damn lower ball joints wore about before the front brake pads I installed at the same time.

wheels are quite a bit straighter now.

being able to change a control arm without taking the wheel off was pretty cool.

tomarrow im going to hopefully score a "new to me" 4runner front clip.

    Thank you
and yes sir that is a 140 amp power master gm cs130 . I snapped the mount in half so I think I will try the LCE version of the mount this time around. The under drive pulleys and gm alternator really don't get along, so the stock harmonic balancer will be going back on shortly

I was going to do a little write up, but the pictures sucked. I used a 3 wire because I figured it had a better chance of working with the u/d pulleys and I thought it would be a good idea to keep the idiot light...

I got over it when it still didn't charge enough at idle and I realized how much wiring you can ditch under the hood with a 1 wire.

not too many pics of the late front end of my truck.. I originally did the 4runner front end using all aftermarket parts and the stock core support when I was 18. I have learned a ton of stuff since, including the value of genuine Toyota parts.

Well the LC site gives a pretty good explanation. It sounds simple if you buy that kit.

No I was saying that if you read the desription of the LC 1 wire kit it will tell you how it hooks up. Well not exactly but it tells you what you get in the kit, which is everything you need.

lmfao... reminds me of the time when we had a truck in our shop that was ""rolled over" in an accident where the guy wrecked into some lady and it rolled over idk how, but the point is the truck didn't have much damage and idk wat raffaelli did or whoever worked on it that day but they got it running, the boss hopped in the truck and drove it around the block... hahaha... no front clip, windshield, broken mirrors, busted airbag, that was about it and a broken radiator that got replaced... i wonder how the people reacted when they saw the truck:ROFL:... but yeah, that's what happened btw, it was a 6 liter 2oo5+ ford f-25o

that is the $150 lifetime warranty ebay special radiator. worth every penny.

I spent more at LCE today for a steel braided clutch line, silcone intake hose and new alternator bracket.

just a little bit of progress. I ordered a bad ass new air compressor a couple weeks ago, but it takes 19 - 24 days to ship from ingersol rand :doah:

it sucks trying to work without air.
