which would be better static drop or bagged i've heard people complain bout bagged trucks and heard people like them which is better for a daily driver?
My daily is bagged did it all myself in my garage with my older brother bagged on lower link bars an cando control arms. Rides very nice no complaints here. I had a static yota before an the ride sucked
if you bag your truck properly with bag placement and correct materials your ride will be alot better then a static. alot more expensive then static but alot beter ride if done correctly and worth it seeing your frame or body on the ground
Yea air ride i sway smoother. My friends nissan HB rides so much better with the rear bagged than it used to on blocks
thanks you guys im going bag it after i do my 2jzte swap with the 6 speed getrag tranny and a nice aftermarket 70mm turbo everyone round here has a boosted civic ima have something for them
But on the the other hand...... I can just get in my truck start it up and drive. Don't have to wait for compressors to fill up my tanks. Don't have to worry bout lines, valves, bags, etc. And runs at least $1000 cheaper. Also, if you static drop your truck right you can get a decent ride out of it. I have belltech 2" drop spindles in the front and maintained bout 95% of my factory ride. Same will go for the back when I get Belltech's drop leaf springs. I will be a total of $750 (with drop leafs, drop spindles, and shocks). Whereas a good air setup will run at least $1500-2000. Unless you can install it yourself.
i do my own work besides welding everything else like design and stuff and i gots the hook up on bags and stuff i was jus curious on the ups and downs thanks baggin is on the bottom of my to do list
I like both, but I don't have another car to drive while my truck gets bagged (cause someone else would have to do it). But I do plan on buying another Yota in a few years and bagging that one.
you dont have to wait for your tank to fill up unless you drain your tank all the time. and if you bag your truck right you wont have to worry about lines busting(DOT APPROVED) and valves breaking(GOOD vlaves for gas liquid and air) and bags that can handle PSI(max psi)
ive seen this happen the valves freezing and sticking do to liqiud which a water/air filter for airride is an easy fix
if you bag it right, there arnt problems. If you static drop it like crap you are gonna have issues. Just do what you are gonna do legit and you wont have issues.
yes thats why you should use valves that can handle water gas and air etc etc. ..most people run cheap valves strictly for air and when that valve gets introduced to water they fck up...common problem with the old SMC valves. and Air ride. jus be sure to research and do it legitly....good luck bro
trust me you guys i'm doing it legit i'm not like all the honda guys round here with stolen parts i get my stuff from lowrider depot they have great prices if you have an account with them and thanks im glad they have a toyota minis site.
It sounds like to me you already had your mind made up, you just needed some encouragement or something.
I was the same way. I debated forever if I was gonna bag my truck or not. But like I mentioned earlier, I have nothing else to drive. And I had my bedbox installed which will make it harder to bag.
Ya my truck is my daily did the rear when I switched to graveyard so my brother could drive but now I drive so we did the front in 2 days. Didn't cut corners or anything. Just had the cando control arms haha those helped alot
bedbox i like it but like you said harder to bag plus im happy with my tsunami competition 8's haha it vibrates with the cab so there louder main reason i wanna do my work is if somthing breaks i can be like that the prob fix that rather then having to trailer to a shop to figure out one prob with the rediculous bill
Oh, I understand. I just don't have the skills to do it myself. When I get a different truck I'll just drive down to burnzya's and have him bag it for me.
Man just pick up a welder start practicing your welds in different angles an positions an styles get comfortable an start with something small like a notch or a crossmember
