i'm not sure if I like standard cabs w/o no headrest for the fear of my head going though the back window. Just me though. I too have 4runner seats in mine with a 01 tacoma full console and love it.
Here is an old pics. I have recoved them and changed my steering wheel. But you get the idea.

 

Yeah your head shattering a window during a rear end doesnt seem like a good time.

 

I'd like to see a 60/40 split seat.

Are those Tiburon seats an easy install (ie. Do you have to weld?)

 

yes they require welding. kinda was a pain in the butt. the floor of the tiburon isn't flat, so i had to trim the stock slider to sit flat, then fabbed up the front brackets, as well as a bracket for the rear bolts near the trans tunnel.

but they are pretty comfortable, and hold me in pretty well while i'm thrashin around in the desert

The MR2 buckets were simple, drill 3 new holes and done!

 

did you have to do some welding or did they pretty much just bolt down...they look good in your taco...

 

i just put some 94 4runner seats and i dont like them.... they dont slide back as far as th 60/40.. and im big so th lumbar is not that comfy... i just wan some stock ex. cab buckets.. So if anybody wants to trade or buy these hit me up........

 

Has anyone ever put scion tc seats in a pickup with a bench and if so did they just bolt it?

 

I have like 91 4runner seats. They're amazingly comfortable
