Hey guys my name is Justin. A couple weeks ago I bought a 91 single cab 22re pickup. I was really looking for an ext cab but they are so hard to find plus I got a really good deal on this one and I couldn't be happier. Its a great truck and is in amazing shape for being 19 years old. This is my 3rd Toyota and love them more with each one I get. Looking forward to learing a lot from this site. Thanks guys Justin
watsup.. so your in houston, huh.. cool.. maybe you can hang out with us houston boys and the 671'ers
Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Im glad to see there are some users on here in Texas. My truck is nothing special just a stock 91 single cab. My plans are to put a small lift on it right now and do a 3.4 swap here in a couple months. Here is a pic of my truck
Welcome to the site bro! Maybe you can meet us at the track some time. There are quite a few of us from Houston on this forum. Post more pics!
Nice! I'm torn between doin that with the next project or or doin a mid 70's Celica with a built 22R.
One thing I love about these trucks is that off road parts are easy and cheap to come by. Toyota pickups is one of the most used trucks in the desert plus they are so tough. Here is a video of my buddies 94 at the dunes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CiONyce2v4
Gotta talk to Tony. (B.Y.E.) Pretty much whenever he (and his 671 buddies) go to the track, I tag along. BTW. Is your truck a v6? 5 speed or auto?
It seems like its easier to swap a 22R(E) truck with a inline. 5m,7m,JZ.... Than it is to swap the v6. You wouldnt have to cut and fab frame perches. But what do I know...
Next track night is sometime in October when the weather starts to cool down... Only reason we do track nights is we (island folks) don't seem to be welcomed at these so called meet n greets where you cant rev, play load music, do burn outs, etc... We all got heavy feet! hahaha! For reals tho it's just how we do it back home... We meet up and then head to the strip and let the trucks/cars do the meet n greet...
