got some daytime footage of the run in a certain section of road near the house..... has lots of varying turns, hills and slopes...... mind you this is a 15mph zone due to its curves and such. im in 2nd or 3rd most of the time topped at anywhere from 4500-6200 rpms most of the time. yes..... the truck rubs hard through some corners since i actually had 180lb camera mount........ (passenger holding the camera ) dont mind his camera handling as he is scared ****less as to how fast i can go through this road anyhow.......... downhill run- youtube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iz5R3gal3y8 photobucket uphill charge- youtube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cV_glQBjGhQ photobucket
thanks.... hope to get rid of the mushy handleing soon...... i cant toss it around the corners as well as id like to so it keeps me slow in hard corners.
haha. ditto. i dont have a front sway bar anymore either. but damn if that camber i have doesnt make up for alot of it. lol. ill get some videos tomorrow. quotant quotables: "dont crash and ill try not to drop the camera"
note to self; buy a damn racing seat i swear its a fight within itself to keep my butt planted in that bucket under hard turns, especially countering..... makes my drifts look sloppy like the one in the video where i stall it. its not cus i suck its cus my body shifts and my foot comes off the gas
lol surprising ALL my passengers told me the split bench is COMFORTABLE i'm like wtf maybe... Yeah, racing seats would be nice, or any bucket seats
SD...get some mid 80s MR2 seats. I had them in my 92. They have bolster angle adjustment, lumber depth adjustment, and seat base nose height adjustment. I could quickly adjust it to hold me glued in the seat or relax it to make it comfy. And its all mechanical inside. No motors. Kinda heavy but not bad. Who cares about that extra few lbs if you stay put. It was obviously the first interior mod I chose to make. Long before consoles, shifters or steering wheels.
Yes, they were cordaroy and velour. You want 80s, get those. How do you guys thing they would look in my 78 with different fabric though?
yea, its what i hear, to get MR2 buckets....... since theyre in a real tiny sports car they gotta be compact so ill keep an eye out for these........ gotta love the 80's interior decor...
Well, with a 4runner console it seemed just about right. Mine had a bent drivers track so it didn't like to slide forward. And it was a hair offset of the steering wheel. But thats okay
But even in my 78 (rear: tiny mofo'kin' truck) with a 4runner console seemed too narrow. Try a late model S10 like I did, and cut it down. Or from something else. I just like the widest console that will fit. Seems to look best.
That truck looks terrible inside and out looking at the old photos. HAHA. This was about the best it could muster Every time I watch that clip though, it reminds me why I loved it. Coming the other way, nearly daily, I would rip the ebrake, flip it around backwards, and do half a rockford to park it facing out. ahhh....yotas *drools* What you saw on the tailgate was this. It said "Princess on board"
yea......... night time video's suck. but its also the only time the popo's cant see as well either. that and the lots have less moving obsticles
the late 80s early 90s celica seats are the same as the mr2's just a heads up so you can widen your search and make it a little easier to find some
