well I was able to slip down to the bodyshop to snap some pics today before my sons double header ball game ..

pics dont really do it justice , but I will say , it's looking real good so far , and the time I spent makin' sure things were "right" , are paying off I think .
little bit of and issue with the drip rail area , as when I welded and did the "prep" work , I squared it off , instead of rounding the edges .. and when we looked at is in the body shop , I asked him to "round" them , so it would match the rest of the truck .. well when he did , he ended up grinding threw some of the welds creating pin holes , so then he had to weld them up and continue from there .. all and all ... I'm STOKED !!!

and now just a "scuff" on the inners .. and some color .. I made him promice me , done by TUESDAY ... :)

and on the way home from ball ...
a little 2 point buck in velvet "picking" in the front yard gardens .. my boy and I followed it all the way up the block ..

Are you going to use the center console as an arm rest, or do you have plans
    for the inside.
That deer is cool, but if that was here on Guam, it would be in the pot for Kadau (soup). We just had some for lunch. LOL

Paint looks great, I want a very similar color on my truck.

I didn't mean to jinx you with my time quote:ROFL:, I know a few body guys and they all lag about the same. I have never had a vehicle leave a body shop without it taking at least a extra week.

epic build, i just finished reading all the way through it and cant wait to see more progess
a couple questions though, i noticed that the floor pans that u made for the cab are completely smooth, i was just wondering why u didnt add any beads or something, it just seems like they would be pretty flimsy to me, when i built mine i used 18 gauge metal and i had to roll beads in it so they wouldnt be flimsy, did u use thicker metal?
i love all ur fiberglass work and its very inspirational, for the speaker pods u made in the door panels, did u have any problems with the speaker pods interfering with how the window rolls up and down?
and finally, do u have any pics of that long box trekker finished?

Thanks .. glad you enjoyed so far ..
floors are 14g same as the tunnel . with the seat crossmember and a rear support and everything welded , they dont move . yes 18g would have been to thin with out beads .

no problems on the speaker pods as this truck has the vent/butterfly windows . If it had the reguler windows , I would not have been able to sink them in like that .

and here you can see the long box Trekker build .. the fella in Texas is still building it though . he hasnt finished .

so my customer showed up , and I "wrote up" his truck for the work he had booked .. after his truck was in , I drove him to the bus depo. for his ride home .. I decided to stop into the bodyshop as it's real close to the bus depo and lookie what I saw :)

I caught my painter in the booth shooting some color ...

he was just finishing up the color , and came out .. we chatted for a bit and hes asked if i wanted a better shot of the color .. NO clear in these pics , cuz he was just doing it ... and I couldnt wait

It'll be cleared now , inners all done and ready for me to pick up ...
