Cruise Control Problem

    Im having a slight issue with the Cruise Control on my 1991 2WD 4Runner.

    One problem is that when I turn it on and go to set it, it will just blink 4-5 times and then shut off and I cant turn it back on until I shut the 4Runner off.

    Then other times I will turn it on and set it and it will work fine, but then when I tap the brakes or do anything that disables the cruise control, it will blink again then shut off and Im in the same situation.

    Anyone have an idea on whats going on?

    Sounds like a bad CC computer. Or a short in the wiring somewhere. But more than likely a computer.

    No, but the best way to find out is to call the factory service manager at the stealer.
