You know what bro, I think your on to something! Ive seen some awesome airbrushing, but its really hard to bring out a 3D effect without tons of practice and/or $. From what I see you have helped give new life to exterior body mods without the fear of being a copycat or " bolt-on clone "! I give the idea direction and process 10 stars. Now lets see what you do with it . . .

that skull is sweet, wanted to do something that style on my front axle housing on my 4wd with metal.. that looks bad ass though..i like the placement being random, gives it more.. flare? or something.. i say do some good body work around it smooth and keep the skull and bed!

    thanks guys :)
    Quick question!

When you lower a long bed 81 in the rear with blocks, do they have to be angled or straight?
    about 3-4 inches.
Have to drop static for now...when i get the wifes van and my s-10 paid off next year ill look into air for it.

Are you just painting the light surrounds/grill black?

The more sanding you do, the smoother it finishes.

yea, on primer and clear.. it's seems to be a waste of the more expensive material if you sand base for that reason (and some others), block sand the primer lay some base and slick out the clear.. block sand the clear without burning through and slick it out again, block sand, and buff to a show quality shine if that's the purpose chosen for sanding it..

just wasn't sure if there were some problems with the base, and if there were i would offer some help/advice if it was wanted or needed.

Well, I'm forced to paint outside so i have to get rid of any paint-nibs/bugs there are.
And I'm shooting it with a self leveling marine paint.so ill just be polishing that and not shooting a clear.

    The color is black.

i paint outside 5 days a week so i know the frustrations that bugs and trash will bring.. but it makes for a better learning experience, deal with that kind of stuff enough and you will be a better painter for it. i get so spoiled when i actually get to paint projects and stuff in a good booth... but i can't wait for you to resolve the digi. situation so we can see the progress

You're out of luck on the phantom grill. No one makes anything for these trucks.

I know its not a phantom grille but figured I would throw this out there anyways. I bought this some while back supposedly for the earlier trucks but it wasn't correct, it fits the later 79-80, 81? with the round headlights, its a square tube chrome steel, brand new, it is missing one of the square black plastic end tube caps but might be able to find one easily. I paid 50 plus shipping so I'll go from there if anyones interested.[IMG]
