    Im from Chicago Heights Il. If your vehicle is an OBD 1 or earlier model, then there are no emission test. I have a 98 nissan altima for a dd and I have emissions for a few more years. No inspection. They just hook a OBD 2 scanner to your vehicles port and if no cel codes are present and no cel light, you are good to go.

    Yeah! Same here, I never have to have mine tested ever again. Anything 96 or older.

    With any city that varies widely... were I am paying 775 month rent for a full house (very uncommon in the area) I've seen almost double that for a single studio type apt. so do your shopping and don't be afraid to drive a couple more miles to save a few hundred a month.
