I wanna see some ridiculous wide tires (i.e. 275+) on the rear. Ive see the Taco guys run like 275 but would love to see it on our body style. I had 255's when I was running my Supra TT rims Let me see what you guys can find...
This is the best I can do right now...it's not a pretaco and the truck is so low the sun never shines on the tires, but I got this one the other day...99 Taco with 89 axle and 275/35/18 on 18" x 9" +38..
5zigen w/ STRETCHED 245/40/17s. These rims use 255 i believe. Its wide enough becasue its HELLAFLUSH to the bed!
In the latest vid of my truck, those tires were 285/?/18. They were a sweet fit and I could still smoke the crap out of those things lol. I need drag radials bluh. Nice pics guys. I like Beefed tacos wide sets
You probably need some weight in the back of that truck too . I have 225s under the back of my 73. They fit great on one side and the other side sticks out a little, rear end isnt center. With the right wheels 275 would be easy.
The bane of the pickup truck, Hard to get traction. I didnt spin AT ALL when I went to the track on my wussy BFG 245's. But then again Im putting down a hundred, not four
I almost got some 17s with 275/40/17 rears. Would have looked sick on a 78. They wanted too much, and the front tires were shot.
Not at all, I'll go back in soon, thanks Been considering some universal type fender flares to put on the rear and cut out the cracked/ rusted portion of my rear fender openings. A few months ago I bought Kristian's mid-leaf springs and threw them on my truck. I figured since I got my frame and C-notch on, I might remove them again and get my drop going. I haven't found the need or necessity to have the extra spring rate, lately. Then put them back on for the auto-x season if i'm home to participate. I might just drop the truck tomorrow night haha. I miss having a level truck. Saturday I have an appointment for my alignment. going to take a look at my steering components once more. That old center link really beat up my FR tire's inner shoulder (still good, worn from toe wear). hopefully that new center link (+ last year's Moog tie rod replacement setup) will allow the technician to dial in straighter.
