seems to be a lack there of since lownloud's last activity seems to have ceased in mid december of last year and jeff dont seem to frequent the boards. seems like the site would benefit from at least one new moderator if not 2 to share the simple upkeep in the site.

found this out since i was gonna hit up lownloud to sticky a write up for the ball joint flip but i seemed to have not noticed him on for a while.... i think he was goin through some personal life changes and thats why he hasnt been on in a while.

the site dont need much regulation since everyone is chill here but it would be nice to be able to turn to someone who could modify, correct or move a thread when needed right?

    love hate relationship eh?

it'll keep growin....... as it is there's quite a few knowledgeable people on here and it only stands to gain more knowledge from the people that join. site has only been up for a few years and i dont think theres much advertising for it like its sister site customtacos had....... so i dunno. i like this place. everyone is pretty much chill and any question i or anyone else comes up with is usually answered. :waytogo:

Jeff is always quick about returning my PM's here. Even lately. If I need to get ahold of him, I know I can here easier than CT now.

well, since he signed over CT to the other guys, it allowed him some "freed up" time to dedicate to this site thats still growing. he's made a bunch of changes and upgrades to the site. so its more likely for him to log into this site than it is CT.

i do send him a PM from time to time and he does get back to me within time as well....... thing is this site runs pretty smooth from what i can tell. it hardly needs any moderating unlike our sister site..... ther's more than pleanty of people to keep the mods busy over there

We as a country have enough regulation being forced on us. We as a board don't need any mods on power trips. We regulate ourselves.

well that just my point. we dont need regulations imposed since we give no reasons to have so done. like ive mentioned before the board and all the members are chill...... however, stuff like registration help or activation, title changes for edit expirations or stickies and such cant be done by the regular board members. these tasks are usually Mod oriented. thats more so the reason i brought this up...... not because we have an issue with regulating.

I completely agree with this line of thought. We could definitely use one or two more people to handle the above.

haha. i honestly vote that if anybody gets mod status, which mostly is needed for stickying posts...to go to SD YOTA and myself. since i am becoming known as the "neighborhood vampire" haha.

and since i have a bunch of how-to's im planning to add. i also would like if on the main forum list, the how-to section was moved up. or maybe laid out like an info page and not a forum topic. since there seems to be A LOT of the same things being asked lately. mostly about lowerin the front of these trucks. a how-to page, with a link on the home page, would be great.

as well as stickying, locking would help for things like instruction pages or topics that die, as in the classifieds.

another site suggestion i have is the karma that other sites have. if someone posts something useful, you can give them karma for it. but only allow them to get one point per day from each member. or if they totally post useless crap they lose a point. it would help the new guys know who are the eyes and ears of the site, and who seems to know their stuff better. not to make it a popularity contest.

yea....... we just need SOMEONE on here to be able to clean and or organize stickies and such. i think you also have a good point on making the how-to section more visible towards the top of the forum... hell i would say to make us both Mod's in order to give people some options to get a hold of someone. if by any means, at least one of us be likely to be on right?

one nice thing would be to do a sticky on the top of each forum section for the commonly asked questions or brought up topics.

yeah, ive also noticed the commonly asked questions are poppin up a bit more often now too but we are also getting in allot of new members so its understandable. if we can get those common topics stickied up top this will prevent most repeat posts.....

exactly. i mean, i like getting the post count added up telling them all the same thing. but i feel like im copy/pasting my words over and over.

and yes, add us both. i have an iphone, and any PMs or notifications i get goes to my email. so i see it right away. and awesome thing, this site is very iphone friendly since there is a very low amount of flash/java/ads. so i could always make changes during the day.

and a side note, i would love if we were allowed a nickname under our title. such as:

Haha. I think have it be a one time thing that you can set, going through the same swear filter the rest of the site has. If someone needs to change it, they can contact a moderator. Or make it able to be edited once every 30 days.
