I bought dual side drafts but i have a 22r motor the duals were dirt cheap but it had a 20r manifold i still bought it and i'm in the process of installing it but will the 22r studs line up with the 20r manifold? I'd thought i's ask before trying it and wasting my time finding out it doesn't fit. And yes i know the the ports are diffrent but i talk to people and they said as long as there is a gasket and bolted down good it should perform almost the same. I'm trying to save money and not buy a new one. Thanks in advance.
you could swap to a 20R head though. if its a 85+ block you need to machine the head a bit. there is a better flow to the intake valve on the 20R head. but it has slightly smaller valves. the flow makes up for it. or you could sell the manifold and buy a used 22R manifold for cheap. theres a few guys selling them on here.
Also the 20r head has smaller combustion chambers so it will raise your compression ratio aswell. The correct manifold would be your best choice.
