The 22r should already have an electronic ignition distributor, but a few that come to mind are the Malloy unilite, LCE sells a reworked stock unit, DUI, plus a few conversion kits to upgrade the stock unit, such as Pertronix, spelling may not be correct on that one:D Crane, maybe more with some searching around.

I've been looking around and havent found anything I'd like to get away from the vacum advance because if I replace the carb the only thing thats going to need/get vacum is the brake booster

If you want to eliminate the vacuum unit then your only options that i,m aware of are the Mallory Unilite full mechanical, or LCE's pro unit.

I use the LCE distributor with a Crane CD ignition and coil. I tried a Mallory system but always had to mess with it. I have not had to do anything with the LCE / Crane system. I run straight most of the time but hit the Nitrous once in awhile.

I run Weber 45 DCOE sidedrafts and I never had any problems, even when I raced. Most people do not know how to set them up or adjust them. I have had a number of people contact me about how to make them run right and if they follow up on what I recommend they get them to work okay. I raced off-road in the desert using Webers and Mikuni sidedrafts. Fuel injection is okay, especially when used with a turbo or supercharger but if you do not want to run FI with a TC or SC then it is hard to beat the side drafts. I run Nitrous with my sidedrafts and I am currently dailed in at 285HP with the juice on, I could go higher HP.

I had sidedrafts on my jag and loved them and had no problems other then I could keep my foot out of the carpet and the cops didnt belive me that it made me more relaxed and less adjitated when my toes were rubbing carpet

I didnt see anything on mallorys web site for dist. but I'm liking lc's pro

I've been doing some research and reading on the temp switches and how/what they work and I think I'm starting to under stand it if I dont figure it out soon I may be ditching the factory crap
