Hi im Curt from AZ, ive been lurking for months waiting, decided to do a proper intro. So here it is.

I recently got a 72 hilux according to title, but it looks like a 73. Its supposedly original, one owner, old guy said they had both models in 72. Does that sound right.... Pics to come.

Wow, and here I thought I was special. :D

Yup, yup, 12/72 is what's on my door jam.

On my registration card it reads:
    "YR MODEL 1972" & "YR 1ST SOLD 1973"

Anyhow, WELCOME! Extremely happy to know more and more of these early 70's HiLux are being kept on the road. Especially one out of Arizona - where I'm told they are ultra rare.

    Pics, man, pics! :)

Basically in 1972 they had two model trucks. The tail end of the RN10's and the beginning of the RN20's (our trucks). No big deal, really.

Although, from what my previous owner told me, when they went to purchase parts for the front brakes, none of the parts stores had a listing for a 72' RN2x. So they went with "73'" parts.

    Same difference.

But something worth remembering when you start having the stores look things up for you.

If you haven't already, go ahead and start a build thread and post pics of what it looks like now.
