He's got the right idea, but alot of work to do. Lose the bumper for sure. I love those wheels though.
o and that has to be Oahu. Maui and the rest of the islands dont have recon laws but bumpers are part of the safety check.
Yeah those wheels are sick, gotta find out who makes em and how much, and i love the jap bed with the tonneau, so 80's.
We had a truck cruise 2 weekends ago. Thats the only pic i could find of that truck. And yes we have recon(reconstruction vehicle permits) which means any modification of suspension work needs to be inspected and approved, and some other stuff. Body drops not legal, bags not legal, chop tops not legal, all lenses gotta have the DOT markings, if you lift your truck, height goes by the weight of the vehicle. Cops can and do pull people over for this, and if the cop is a dick he can ground your vehicle and say its unsafe and make you tow it home. The reasoning behind recon is because the population oahu has. Oh yeah and we suppose to run rear bumper. Even rollpans are illegal.
Work/ Volk/ Rays/ Advan, one of them makes them, I can't remember, but i recognize the wheel. good looking truck as oppose to most
You not suppose to pass saftey if you no more rear bumper, but you know how that goes. I dunno whats the fine for no rear bumper, never got ticketed for that, but down here cops not as strict on trucks compared to imports. I always wanted to ditch mines, but if i ever got into a accident and never had one im worried i going get screwed by insurance. Plus some trucks look good with back bumpers. You should ship your truck down and join us on a cruise. To bad no more superferry anymore.
those are work wheels by the way......... and yes this truck caught my damn eyes.. some expensive wheels on this bad boy.... without the bumper would look stupid honestly that wouldnt look clean at all........
taking the bumper off would be hidious..the front end conversion was alot of work..this was a photo from our recent truck cruise on oahu i was next to the photographer...it may not look slammed but it is for the size rims he"s running...cool guy to...OOOOOO BTW @@RE TURBO!!!!!!! boosting alot....look very closely..oahu trucks FTW
i bet the front did need alot of work.. we almost have the same set up excpt for the grill/lights thats about it..
well since you need to have a rear bumper, why not modify the brackets on an 89-95 rear to tuck up close to the bed? they arent as bulky looking to start with, and would match the front nicely.
