thanks everybody, im glad you guys like it. it wasn't hard to do at all. just take your stock shifter apart. then the black stick you see coming out of the boot is actually pressed into the lower half that goes into the trans. its only pressed into rubber so a lil twistin and tuggin and they're apart. if your going to use a hurst or similar, its just a little cutting and grinding. then weld it, but if you can use a 220 welder. personally i wouldnt trust a 110 welder on anything thicker than sheet metal. hope this helps guys, looking forward to see someone elses!
Awesome...thanks for the info. Ill post some pics of how I do mine when I actually get time to do it lol!!
Thanks for the info on the shifter . . . Donny can't wait to see it with that skull, that is going to be HOT
well got my wheels on,with new cheapo tires. 15 by 5,3 inch backspace, from summit. made by wheel vintiques. tires are 195/60's. i like it...but need to lower it another inch or TWO,and start notching and doing some crossmember work!
Looking good!! Have you thought about swaping out your bumper to the 88 4x4 model or do the upgrade to the 89-95 4x4 bumper?? Ive got pics of both swaps if you want to see some!
Beautifull pictures! Your truck is looking hot ! Didja get center caps ? Trucks came along way, I bet you love riding around in it, I know I LOVE drivN' mine, I drive it LowNloud : ) !
truck is looking sweet. I did the same tach mod on my first TOY Pickup except I used Autometer #3708 for mine. I like what you are doing with the truck. Personally I like the bumper set up you have on right now. Its a very clean looking one piece bumper. Im not so much into the newer front ends put on our year trucks but everyone is different. Good Luck in finishing your project...and I love the shifter....
you know now that I think of it......I bet it would look much better with a front CHROME GRILLE. I would use the OEM look and I bet is standouts even more
