    thanks guys!

i have a problem with minitruck burnout. thats why i have multiple projects at once. i get in phases were i want to just sell this heap for a couple hundred and move on.... but then i jump on the hilux for a while till the motivation comes back. when you get this carried away in a project it seems like it's never gunna get done. :D

Nice lookin truck man. I noticed you were building a new bed frame. I was wondering how you connected it to the bedsides. I saw it was welded on the top but couldn't see where else

the frame is welded along the top, in the front on the "cab" side of the bed. also the sides where the stock tailgate latches and limit strap things would be i plated the whole thing with 14 gauge steel. then i ran braces from the bedfloor tube to the 14 gauge. it is very stout. i've actually walked down the edges of the bed and they didn't bend at all.

hey, i haven't wired my lights yet.

but it isn't really hard. you just need a test light really. the caddy lights have 3 bulbs. 2 are run/brake/turn, and one is just a running light. all you have to do is check your trucks wires with a test light (label or just remember which is which), then hook up the caddy lights. and since there is 2 run/brake/turns on the caddies, you can just wire them together into the single run/brake/turn of the truck.

damn, sorry i missed your question...

yes i use the plugs from the caddies. i usually cut the caddy harness about 6" before the loom splits to each plug.

Still catching up on some of the posts I missed during the months I was away... DAMN! :) I was happy to have recently moved across the street from a guy who does bodywork and paint jobs right there on his driveway - for the past 20 years - and his rates are better than reasonable. If you can work yourself into his schedule.

But if I lived across the street from YOU....I'd be your apprentice and my rides would be bad*ss. :)
