So here it is, Finally got enough done to make a Build Thread.

I purchased the truck july 4th at a car auction. Its had somewhat of a rough life from the looks of the insides.

Me and my dad cleaned the black carpet out and it turned out to be Blue lol! Someone wired the headunit straight to the battery. Ive replaced all the battery terminals, re-wired the rats nest they left when the half done the wiring job.

Ive been in the Mini Truck scene for a couple years, just never owned anything on Air. So with a few connections, ive pieced everything together for less than $700.

Thats the only pic i have of air stuff lol. Im taking more pics tomorrow of everything and progress pics.

I bought some 16' Ford Probe Wheels. The guy I bought them off of, already had one semi-polished and i finished it out. Ive started on the other ones, and its a major pain. So im thinking about just having them powder coated silver.

Last weekend we got this much done on the rear. Today, we got the pass side frame and the driver side is ready to be done tomorrow. Hopefully everything works out for the best and I can get it cut out.

and heres a teaser render i done to show the final color, and what i hope to pull off.

Yeah, that looks cool! You gonna stay with the 2wd fenders or run 4wd fenders?

Theres still some welding to do and some dressing the welds. I should have my tabs and such in hopefully this week to get my 4 link lined up.

My bros getting some projects in and were going to try and finish the rear so he can work. Hopefully by the end of December we'll have the front finished and it'll be ready for paint. Im trying to have completed by Layd out At the Park 2010. I'll have my Scion and Loyota there with fresh new looks.

    update.

Me and my parents left the house sunday morning around 8:20. About 3 hours there, and with 2 stops. It took a little bit longer to get back with eating and such but It was well worth the trip to tn to pick this up though. Its dirty as hell, but its straight. Just needs some loving and a new lock. The pics suck because of my out dated iPhone.

but heres the look im going for. Reverse Chrome wheels with moon caps and all lol.

Good work so far on the air setup, Not feeling the camper shell or the wheels, imo those wheels look amazing on a flat paint retro styled truck, not a glossed truck with a camper shell... Just my opinion though

I know what you mean. Ive been looking at different wheels, and if these dont scream 90's mini i dont know what wheel would lol.

Im really feeling the 2nd one.

Update on the truck. I cut the rear cross member cleanly cut. Im going to move it back a couple inches so i can mount my 4link to it. Then i havent to figure out a nice clean way to do the gas tank. Im thinking behind that cross member and extending my lines out. Any suggestions?

yay real updates lol. We finished the 4 link today. Its under its own weight and it holds air. We still need to trim the bed to clear the 4 link bars. I couldnt wait any longer so I had to sit the snug on it. Its kicking my ass into gear and im ready to get it done in the front. Then as soon as thats done, the bodywork and paint will come. Still havent decided on a for sure color.

I put my gas tank in the back where that factory crossmember was an then welded in a piece of 2x3 at the rear most part an extend my gas lines all the way. Turned out very nice

what did you do with your gas neck?

Im thinking about cutting out a door in the bed floor and making it all fancy and have it hidden in the bed floor, or making a flip out taillight to do it that way.

Major bumpage on this thing lol.

I havent worked on it since November lol.

I got the front driver side almost stripped. Still need to get the lower control arm off to prep it for the bag mounts.

Someone made some ghetto home made wheel spacers. I dont want to know why you would even want to make your own. Thats a little dangerous in my eyes, especially how jagged these are.

My neighbor had a set of 15's that were uni-lug. OLD SCHOOL wrote all over them lol. I was trying to get rid of 18's i had on the box so i figured id work a deal.

    The 15's

cant really come off them right now. They are a discontinued Rays wheel. They'd look great if they were in decent shape and had a low pro tire on them.
