Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of my truck when I first got it. Pretty much a stock 2wd with funky wheels, white spray painted grille, and a rusty ass rear bumper. (Also some TRD stickers but no TRD parts.)

First thing I did was swap in some bucket seats I had been saving. (Also threw in a Nismo shift knob.)

Day 3: 2" blocks, 18" wheels, chrome grill, new rear bumper:

Next week swapped the blocks for 3", cranked the torsions, flipped ball joints, cut bump stops, pulled/rolled front fenders, trimmed liners. Comparison of before and after:

It still sits a little ass up in the back (although the angle of the picture does exaggerate it a little). I don't want to take out any leafs or go too much lower in since I still haul stuff. The truck sits about level with a full load.

Here's some pictures of the engine bay. Once again, no stock pictures. I think the stock carb leaked more fuel than it fed the engine. Got rid of a ton of extra vacuum lines and crap, but still got a lot of cleaning to do. Found and got rid of some funky stuff like a broomstick plugging up a coolant line.

Cannon manifold with Mikuni 40's and TWM full radius stacks, Carter electric fuel pump and Holley regulator.

The motor runs real smooth and has a new timing chain, but it doesn't look like the previous owner changed the oil very often. I also adjusted the valve lash while I was in there; it was all over the place. New cap/rotor/plugs/fluids, etc. I have a TRD stage II cam that I may or may not throw in since I'm getting a built motor to drop in probably next month. I also need to get a header and a new exhaust, and I'll probably also get an upgraded ignition while I'm at it.

Bonus sneak peek of another '89 I'm working on:

Nice build! Love those spun stacks!

Couple things tho... Those are Italian Solex carbs not Mikuni and Nismo is Nissan performance parts... I think your better off running the TRD sticker without any TRD parts than the Nismo knob...

    Thanks for the compliments.:waytogo:

The paint isn't actually as good as it might look in the pictures; it helps when it's nice and bright outside. ;)

My camera is actually a fairly old 4mp Kodak.

The seats are from an Eclipse. They fit really well and actually use the stock bolts from the bench seat.

I'll admit I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to old school carbs but I did Google the history on it (originally French, sold to Italian company, later also made by Mikuni, ect.) I see them most often referred to as "Mikuni-Solex" or just "Mikuni" instead, which is same as what my friend who sold them to me calls them. The Nismo (Nissan Motorsport) knob is a bit of a homage to the S13 it came out of (sold when I got the truck).
It's all good; I'm not trying to be a smartass. :)

Made a bit of progress this past month. My fuel pump wasn't keeping up so I upgraded to an Aeromotive EFI pump and return style regulator. I also installed a MSD 6AL and Blaster 2 coil, as well as a TRD stage II cam I had from a different motor. I also got new a Magnaflow muffler, but that's not going on until I get a new header to go with that.

Quick shot of the engine bay. Did a bit more cleaning too, though it still needs work:

I also picked up a new set of wheels to try out today. Found them on Craigslist:

15x7 Weld Prostars with 195/50 tires. My truck also went down about 2" compared to the setup with the 18's. I'll keep the 18's for now and maybe put them back on some day when they fix the damn roads by my house. (All the potholes, half ass patches, cuts in the road with 2" lips, etc. have been killing me lately.) Gonna try and get some better pictures later on.

The wheels are "MAS Italy" or something like that. I have no idea where to buy them from since I bought them second hand, though, sorry.

It's kinda funny that you guys like the 2wd fenders since I kind of want 4wd ones. I haven't really decided yet though; I'm fine with the way it looks now.
