I'm sure you've got a friend you could rope into picking it up for you. I want to see some pictures of your s-10 btw.
if i would finish the bd it would be fine. i was going to bag and body it then just stopped playing with it. the frame is notched to clear 22's. i go through phases with the truck. sometimes i love it sometimes i hate it. i will probably finish bd the cab and put bags on then sell it.
Finish it! haha If you lay it out on 2's it would be awesome! But if you sell it you can use the money to fund the build on your toyota.
little update..... over the course of the last few weeks. the oil had water in it, so i decided to pull the head. sure enough the water jacket on the 3rd cylinder was blown. so i buy a headset and start cleaning it up to put it back together. i notice the head is corroded past the point of machining, so now i need a head. i put the truck on hold until craigslist drops a freshly machined 87 22r head in my lap for $90. i cleaned up the remainder of everything and went to town. i'm by no means a mechanic... i'm a welder so it took me a while(about 8 hours) spread over the course of 2 days due to wind/rain. got it all put back together filled it up with water and oil put a fresh battery in a turned the key. all i got was a "click". i figured i hooked something up wrong and spend several hours today trying to figure out what i did wrong. eventually i got pissed off it wouldn't run so i said phuck it and went inside. jumped on toyotaminis... quick search and bam!!!!! found my answer. starter relay wiring mod. went out spliced the wire and she fired right up. so now i'm happy!!!!
so after half a year.......... after doing the head gasket it april i parked the truck, i had no use for it..... then after a recent camping trip we decided we'd like something other than our mustang to haul all our crap, as well as the kids dirtbikes. i cut the back of the cab out, narrowed the bench seat 9", and i'm going to mount it in the bed. i'm putting hyundai tiburon buckets in the front. i'm also ordering 80' of 1 3/4x .120 steel tube, and taking it to the shop "If Its Got Wheels". we are going to bend up a cage, so the people in the rear don't end up smashed. at that point i'll remove the rest of the roof. my kids wanted to go for a little ride...... so here is my attempt at some major flexing action......
That Flex is insaine... u 4By boys are crazy... lol i want a wheeler so bad... almost thinking about lifting my 2wd till i can get one
About time you did something bernie! That looks soo d*** sweet! Almost like a 4Runner conversion! Guess your father in law's not getting a "good hunting truck" now!
he heard about the cage thing........ he's even more excited now. i bought some dark blue rattle can, and wire wheeled the rust spots a bit. some primer/sealer, and a little blue, and she's lookin a little better. i also put some nu finish on it. i'm truly trying to polish a terd
i see your flex pic, and raise you with a flexed mini looking at your flex pic, i think you need to take a bat to the fenders. not as in beating but use them to roll the fenders and get a bit more flare, that **** will rub off road.
i've taken the truck out a few times now. my wife came along one day and took these. the worst part for me is the dust... i wear rigid contact lenses and the dust kills my eyes
I think my Saturn's got you both beat, (but not your 4x4 ShoNuff) but then again, you can't take this thing off road and keep it in one piece; I can hardly get on the driveway without the front underspoiler scraping the concrete
i think i should send you all the Mothers stuff i have. you seem to try and polish more turds than i do. my turds dont need to be shiney. i like them for who they are. lmao
yeah i'm a big fan of major heaps.... lol but then again it's hard to beat a $400 4x4 that gets 20mpg's, and runs like a raped ape!!!
i also picked up a camper shell on sunday since i was taking a 300 mile trip into the mountains to go snowboarding. didn't want to freeze to death the whole time! and yesterday i picked up fenders, hood, and corner lights from an 88 4runner in the junkyard. once i actually looked at my right fender i realized it's not messed up. so i didn't change it.
man what happened to that truck looks like someone tried all they could to kill it but we all no thats impossible as always nice build up
my friend rolled it while wheeling several years ago. we straightened the cab out so it could get a windshield. then he blew the headgasket and parked it.
