Does anyone have any backing plates for the 2WD 8" rear? The part where the brake shoes and wheel cylinder attaches. The axle I got from the junk yard had rotted backing plates. I know you have to press the bearings off the axle shaft to get the plates off and I'm willing to buy the whole axle shafts if you do not want to disassemble them. I need two. Thanks!

Why would backing plates be expensive to ship? Unless you are shipping me the axles with it. Give me a quote to 13901 NY. Also can you post a picture? They have to be rust free or in very good condition.

    Thanks, James

Im going to have my whole rear end out of my truck here soon. You can buy it complete or I can sell you all the hardware stuff. its 1989 2wd. I have it for sale actually on the site. I'll sell the complete axle for 100 bucks or when I pull it out it about 2 weeks I can part it out.

Yes. Probably G882 code which is 3.07 gears. Could you get me a picture of the splines of the axle shaft? Their should be 30.

No, just take the axle shafts out and count. That way you would know what it is.
