i was in the junkyard today and found a 1uz-fe in a 92 sc400. it looks like the driver spun out, the right rear quarter was smashed in.

it was complete..... i took the coils, ignitor, and throttle sensor, but it should be a running motor otherwise if anyone is looking for one. the sc400 is the easiest swap into the pickups since the headers hug the block.

it's at pick n pull in chandler az. 56th street north of chandler blvd.

 

so you already got yours? man i would love to pick this up,but dont have the tooling/equipment to do the swap or another vehicle to drive

did you happen to ask how much they wanted

if you buy it on Wednesday it's half off. the motor would be $80, $50 core charge + tax and a enviromental fee of a couple bucks.

i buy complete motors with wiring, complete trans, and the ecu for less than $260 on Wednesdays.

 

i've seen these motors going alone on phx craigslist for $1200.

just out of curiosity,do they have a cherry picker or do you bring your own? never pulled an engine at a junk yard

i looked in most of the recyclers and stuff.... they barely have anything for toyota's!

4runner and pickup hoods... no listings....

 

hey burnzya do u know if they would sell the whole car? c i went there a couple o times and noticed all the cars are kinda close together and if they would sell the car how much u think??
