.. what do you guys think i should go with..

    a 215/55-16 or 225/50-16 ..

with the 225 i have a much bigger tire selection for cheaper.. .. i'm just not wanting the tires to be too small since my truck isnt lowered yet.. but then i also dont want them too big for when i do lower my truck..

well, after doing a google image search i seen that the 225/50's will be smaller than i'm wanting.. i think the 215 would look much better with a subtle drop

i think that they are both the same hieght. the 225 will be a little wider. im puttin 225/60/15s on mine. i've been told that they will be a little bigger than stock, but not much. it shouldn't be a problem with a drop.

245/50/15 or 245/60/15 they will fit on 7" rims with no problems. I had 245's on a 7" rim on my Mustang with no issues at all.

Oops sorry about that. Let me rephrase that:

245/50/16 or 245/60/16 they will fit on 7" rims with no problems. I had 245's on a 7" rim on my Mustang with no issues at all.

Wider makes it look better I think. Go with a 225 then.

Got with a lower aspect ratio. In order words go with a 50 series tire.

Eventually you will lower the truck and it'll look better with the 50 series.

    I'm running:

    Front: 225/45r16
    Rear: 245/45r16

Plus, wider is better. More grip equals more fun.
