Well after alot of work, sweat and busted knuckles the bed that I should've turned down is almost done. I repaired 5 body rot holes, welded 28 drilled holes, undercoated the bottom of the bed, behind the panels, body work, welded cracked support mounts, and just herculinered the bed, which looks pretty good. I spent all day sanding grinding and preping but here is the start of it and the latest.

    damn man........ looking good!

you know, sometimes these things are worth it since they are now getting seriously rare and hard to find clean. figure it this way....... do it right the first time you wont need to do it again. :waytogo:

how much did you pay for the bed?

got any more pictures of your truck?

thanks the finished product is nice but it was more work than i had anticipated, i had gotten a quote for $500. for a complete straight bed, i think i should have taken it, kinda plug n play, and no way one is enough to learn.

but the other one wouldnt have been the same color. and the floor wouldnt be undercoated and wouldnt have been perfect. this is 400 bucks less, and you know its solid now. it looks pretty good.

check it out i dont know if it was an option but the bed that was on the truck originally had the thickest rubberized undercoating i have ever seen and the factory paint was on top of it. After i cut into it, it looked like a white grey and was about an 1/8" thick, like a rino line thick, was this an option? Remember my truck is the el stripo model.
