Should...I don't see why they wouldn't. As far as I know they use the same door for all the 89-95 pickups and front doors of the 4Runner's.
The 4Runner doors are slightly different. I was thinking about modifying a 4Runner door to fit. I think it would be fairly easy with just a little trimming to put a radius on the rear corner of the window frames. I think that is the only difference. I ended up finding a door off a pick up so I didn't end up trying it out. The 4Runner doors will not fit a pick up without modifications.
ok, i don't want to make another door thread so i'm gonna pst here, so i bought a driver window regulator for 89 toyota pickup but it didn't work, 30$ down the drain, so the toyota dealer told me the door is actually a '88, can anyone confirm me this because i need a window regulator, can't close my window my door:
That doesn't make sense to me. There is a big, obvious difference between the '88 and '89. The body style changed. Maybe there is some confusion because they manufactured some of the '89 model year in late '88, but wouldn't that still be an '89 model?
is that how a 89 door looks like? it has 2 holes. Also the window was broken and they put a 2-door 4runner window which should be the same... have no clue why that regulator didn't fit... does anyone have a driver side window regulator good condition they wanna sell?
You couldn't even get an '88 door to bolt up on a '89. If you did miraculously manage to bolt it up, it would be super obvious that it was a different body style. I still don't get it... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DOOR...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DOOR...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories I suppose I could part with a driver side window regulator. What's the going rate for one? I have no idea. I am not trying to make money off of you, but a little something to cover the time of pulling it out of the door and shipping costs and I'll do get it to you.
i c, i'll try another website that provides free return shipping if it doesn't fit, thank you, help a lot, the freaking dealer guy confused me
Yeah, it's only a slight difference. Maybe a .75" or a 1" radius on the upper rear corner of the window frame. They are not a direct fit. It does seem workable with some modification. After I posted that reply I remembered that there are 2 door 4Runners that would probably have the same doors as our pick ups with the radius on the corner, but you see 100 4 door 4Runners for every 2 door (maybe not but it seems like it). The four door 4Runners had a hard corner since they lined up with the rear door.
corners are different... 89-95 preTacoma extracab and 4runners are rounded and the singlecab doors are squared off. Internals should match up though.
On the contrary, single cab doors are rounded. 4Runner doors are squared off, except in the case of 2 door 4Runners, presumably. I have seen pics of a square door on a single cab, may have been yours, come to think of it. My standard cab definitely has a radius corner though, and 4 door 4Runners definitely have a square corner that will not fit in the opening of a standard cab without trimming it off. I don't know what is up with the square corner on your door (if that was your truck I am thinking of).
Yup he's right. I got it backwards. I have a set of both in the garage if needed... full set of 4runner doors and a single cab.
