Oh me too. I dunno what its for. At least i found out where it is though.

 

it is basically where the inner and outer rocker panels come together. they get "pinched" together with a spot welder.

 

there are "pinch" welded panels all over the truck.

no, you can lay pinch, which is setting on the pinch weld, or you can lay rocker. laying rocker is cutting the pinch off, or at least folding it over so that it's flat.

laying flat rocker is cutting off a portion of the rocker and plating it so that the rocker is flat instead of curved.
