extra cluster out of my 81. works great.

    make an offer.
has no plastic window in front, but any will fit it as long as you have the same interior.

Do you know if the tach will work with the MSD 6AL box? I'm interested if it's a plug and play deal...

if your truck isn't a sr5, the wiring is slightly different. i tried to swap a sr5 cluster into my basic truck and the tach didn't work, but i just ran a wire to the tach from the coil and it worked.

Other than the tach wire, is everything else plug and play? My truck is not an SR5 model btw...

the plugs are identical, but the position of the "pins" are different. i'd imagine you could pop the pins out and reposition them.

Pins for the tach? or everything else, lights, guages, etc...

The pic would help, it would be even better if you still have the truck it came from and take some pics of the harness plugged into it to get the right pin order.

    Thanks!

well, it came out of my truck.
I had swiched them while trying to figure out why my speedometer was not working.
It ended up being the cruise unit under the hood, so i never swiched them back.
    Mine now has a 4WD indicator light...lol

anyway, shoot my an email addy if you wana HUGE pic of this.
    the original is very large.

The difference is the plug. It changed from round to rectangular in 82. If you want to rewire all the plugs, you can use the cluster in an 82 and up, tach is elsewhere too. So, if you are pre-82 it's plug and play for sr5 truck, otherwise you have to run a wire for the tach.
