shaved door kit

    ok when i bought my truck (91) the doors already have been shaved but had no kit installed so i purchased a spal kit and i cannot figure out where the best place is to mount the solenoids any help would be great

    you want to get them directly under the latch..I have mine there mounted to the inside of the door jam..make sure you can roll down your windows all the way before you start drillin holes

    mine were mounted right under the latch on the 86, but on other vehicles i have ran the cables off of pulleys and mounted them at the bottom of the door.

    i angled them on the corner of the door and they work great still have to wire them up though

    yeah i bought it on ebay from a know seller that my friends have bought from and yea everything is all there just not the poppers it was extra for them but i don't need them as toyota doors aren't heavy

    what size are the solenoids, and even though these yota doors are not all that heavy it is still nice to have some poppers

    poppers are usually placed at the bottom of the door to help "pop" it open when you hit the remote to open the door. Its basically a spring loaded device that puts tension on the door.

    well just finished it up had to keep stopping as it was hotter than hell today they work great im waiting to put poppers cause i think im going to suicide the doors when i take it to my buddies house still can't decide though
