What do I have to remove to drop my oil pan. Do I have to remove the tie rods or any steering components to remove the oil pan. I tried to drop oil pan and can not drop it. I have removed the cross member and all the plates that I thought were stopping it but I don't have any room to drop it. Can any one walk me through it. Thanks

if nothing is physically in the way, try tapping it with a mallet. maybe there is some silicone holding it on.

if something is blocking it, maybe try taking a motor mount loose and jacking up the motor a bit.

easy as pie, all you need to do is unbolt your pitman or idler arm ? the one on the passenger side of the truck. then push the center drag link out of the way.

Do I have to have a tie rod end puller or what else can I use to remove the Pitman arm?

You might want a puller. Or whats called a pickle fork. Just be careful if u use the fork....it will tear the grease boot.

Once I unbolt the idler arm from the frame should the oil pan fit and just drop out. cause that is what has been stopping it from dropping.

I unbolted the steering linkage. Then i had to unbolt the motor mounts and jacked it up (all the way.. lol didn't find out til the next morning...)
then i tried getting it out.. the crossmember was in the way,.... well...

then you gotta remove the oil pickup thing.... once you get that out... everything comes out sooo easily.
