how hard is to do a engine swap from a toyota v6. 3.0 to a chevy 350??? I can't decide which way to go, either the chevy engine or the 3.0 v.6?? which one do ya prefer???
my choice . . . Personally if I had a choice between the very reliable 22R series motors and a 350 chevy, I would have to stay faithfull to the 22R, very easy to work on, doesnt weigh the front of my ride down so much that the center of balance is way off, power to weigh ratio is closer so it doesnt tear itself apart without major upgrades, not saying it totally sucks to upgrade, I just prefer reliablity ! All or most of the swaps Ive seen done look very kewl, Im sure they run like a hellcat, but I guess Im just to hardcore TOYOTA ! L o w N l o u d
The 350 swap would require a lot more upgrades like tranny, axle, and drive shaft. Keep the v6 and add an intake, throttle body, headers, exhaust, and any other goodies to go fast.
3.0 cold intake For the 3.0 what brand is best for a cold intake and throttle body ? I would like to try it, some more power ,even if it is a little would be great.
Check with LC Engineering, not sure if they have stuff for the V6 or not ,but if not they can send you in the right direction. Also TRD!
my truck with a 350 made into a 383 stroker, I just got the truck not to long ago. I love the power but need to work on traction
but with a 7m swap or a 1uzfe you would have to mess with all the wireing and fuel injection. but if you went with a carbed 350 the swap would be cake!
T o y o t a I sure couldn't agree anymore with that ! For me, the decision is easy " all Toyota " and I " personally" prefer a stock motor or even a built up Toyota motor, but, the Chevy motor is just wrong " in my opinion ". Kewl Yes, but not for me ! L o w N l o u d
