welcome to tm. I do agree w/ everyone else, we want to see pictures of your ride. Please keep us updated on your ride.
thanks guys, ya I will be posting pictures as soon as theres something to be seen on my truck. Anyone know the power increase on boring a 20R?
Hey welcome to the party. We love pics so get some up asap. If you want more than 90 hp out of that 20R you can get a cam, header, exhaust, intake, carb and bunch of stuff from lcengineering.com and summitracing.com
doing a hybrid motor with a 22r block with sidedraft webers or fuel injection with a turbo will make the most power. For a 100% stock looking motor do a stroker kit on the 22r block.... no matter what to do you need to port and polish your head and a cam, and keep the boring to a minimum... I think LCE's stroker kit is .20 over
Window swap Alright so heres the deal. My truck has a rear slider window witch leaks and lets tons of wind in aswell as vibrates and looks very far from classic. It just bugs the hell out of me how the side windows are so much larger than the rear. Last week I was at Galant (a local mini truck junkyard) when I discovered and old courier with a perfect rear window and cab..... And that was that so now im measuring and planning the new fit and cutting. Anyone got any tip about changing windows?
can u PLEASE not put in such bid text man, i dont think anyone here is blind! other than that i ant help sorry
my opinion . . . Yes, I agree with that ideal, just do a solid window swap, or get yourself an acrylic window ! Everytime I think I wanna get rid of my slider, I think of many reasons why I luv it having it, I do plan on putting in my electric 3 panel sliding rear window, just waiting on warmer weather ! I would warn against the acrylic window only because they scratch easily. Any auto glass company should be able to get you a replacement solid glass rear window. Granted mine is on a less vintage truck, I got mine for $180 with the seal. I found lower prices elsewhere online, but the shipping would have cost more than just dealing with the business in town.
I can snag a perfect solid window from the junk yard that would fit perfectly with my existing window. But like i said it bugs me how the side windows dont line up with the rear so the courier window swap is still in my head
Got one for my 88 from Tap Recycling for $75 a few years back, not perfect but ok. After painting I was thinking of all new glass, but after pricing through a glass company I think not ,& this was not through the dealer: Front$225 Rear$800 sides $180 ea. Extra cab rears $225ea. Did get new front
