So I just got done fitting my 4Runner headlights and grille into my 90 Toyota pickup. What do I need to do to make the lights work as far as the harness? Can I buy a harness conversion or just get a stock 4 Runner harness and splice it in.

I don't know of anyone who makes an adapter, you'll probably have to splice it. Solder and shrink wrap..........

get a new headlight harness if you want to do it right, otherwise you will melt the stock one if you put higher wattage bulbs in.

Where can I get a new one? Are you talking about a new harness out of a 4Runner or aftermarket?

Just go to the parts store and buy the plugs to fit the 9004 bulbs. Cut off the ones that were on the sealed beams and crimp the new plugs on. You DO NOT have to change the whole harness, just the plugs. Takes like 2 minutes a side. Just make you hook them up the correct way so your highbeams will work!

Alrighty, thanks guys. I appreciate the info, I did actually go to my local autoparts store and found the 9004 connectors. Just got to do little things here and there and it should be done.

Save your self a lot of head aches! Don't just crimp any electrical wire
or connectors. Solder & use shrink wrap on all!!
    Just my 2cents!!

I crimped mine together and I havent had any problems out of it and they've been on there for over a year and I drive my truck daily. It's just all a matter of preference

any year from 89-95 I believe. some people change the radiator support to one that came off a 4runner. I just trimmed the headlights so they would fit and I think I had to do something to the grille to make it fit. No big deal, beats changing the radiator support. Everything else pretty much lines up as far as the fender and bumper and such. I done mine quite a while back and I don't really remember all the details but it wasn't that hard. I'm about to shave my wiper cowl tomorrow. I'll post pictures to show you how that turns out.:D And my suspension parts finally started rolling in today! So I'll probably start bagging it next week when the 4-link gets here! I'll be posting lots of pictures!

Well here's a picture of the progress so far. I just need to do some more aligning , wire in the headlights, and get the corner lights to line up. The aftermarket fenders arent making life much easier.

I'm about 90% sure you've gotta have the fenders because the way the corner lights mount are different than the ones for the 2wd. I also think that the grille sticks out further than a regular truck grille does. It's been a good while since I put mine on.

does the 4runner grill and headlights fit right up to the pickup or does it require any customization?
