Looking at that pic though, their bed seems pretty similar to ours, same lines and everything. Maybe you should try doing a tail light swap instead?

yea i saw the all thsoe already i live on the feature site! haha but yea that just proved to me that i can pull of the taco bed with a flat ass instead of a lipped one
what they did was build the box, then screwed it to the back wall so it sat up off the floor then mounted the subs.
yea i dnt wanna deal with that lol did the screw the box to the cab from iside the box or wut? cuz im still a lil confused
Related to the pickup bed with the taco light i gotta say im gunna do my 3rd brake light just like that
Basiclly, once your box is built & wired, mount it to the wall by going thru the speaker cutouts. Do at six screws (3 on each side). Then mount the subs in the box. It also acts as a theft deterrant. Cause you'd have to take the subs out to get the box out.
hey david, i got this sub box in the garage. my sister got it from her friends for her birthday somewhere around 10 years ago. they put it in her car, but the tranny went out a few months later, and she got a convertable so it wouldn't fit. so basically i've been carrying them around for about 9 years. they are 8" i think jbl subs with an amp on the side of the box. i'm thinking about taking them out of the ported box and mounting them in a couple of those "truck" enclosures things and putting them in the 79. my question is how/what do i need to make them work?
