Well.. As some of you may know or not know, this truck has been gone through alot in the past 159k miles. Its been hit up front multiple times (not by me) and been hit in the right door. I guess God said it was my turn to add my part of the equation.... SOOOOO throughout my driving I have gone up 1 curb in the neighborhood.... that was nothing... then during Fall, we had a forum photoshoot where we went up and down the tunnel will rolling shots.... so we took u turns to go back through... i took one early.. BAM, curb island... truck drove fine... So lets count, that makes two concrete biatches. So today I took off my grille.... don't ask why because i dont even know why i did it! Today we had a HUGE thunderstorm... enough to make me not see and then as i drove through this very curvy section.. the bald..... 1mm worth of tread? tire in the right rear decides to give up all hope and i countersteered towards right, and then snap oversteer occurs.... counter again.... then snap oversteers again... wtf..... Sooo... it locked up and i went STRAIGHT for the FIRE HYDRANT. it was one of those big heavy duty ass fire hydrants... Well, Guess who won? the truck did... kinda, the hydrant was stuck underneath.... till my friend came and pull me out... i tried getting truck out but that made things worse... SO i got out... did police reports and what not.. Sooo as i drove home.... this huge grinding noise occurs.. the e-brake cable was rubbing against drive shaft. pulled ebrake back one click and the problem goes away... The hydrant was basically under neath the driver, between muffler and transmission... My "tube" cross member near the sway bar is gone too.. so i need to FIX the following... Right Fender >>> Use 4WD fender... and get one for the left side.... Front Bumper 94 2WD >>> Use 4WD bumper 92-95 Rad Support... Bent on the right Bottom Corner... right headlight points down a bit..>>>> try to bend back or get new one.. That right thing connected to the rad support.... that the fender connects to...>> fix or replace... Other than that, the right corner lamp popped out and since i did the Phatmitzu Drill a hole in the corner and stick the turn signal in it Mod..... It ripped out the bulb and ****... Tube Crossmember>> ****ing replace.... Ebrake assembly thing... will need to look Oh crap, this basically brings me closer to getting 4WD parts at the same time replacing it! Totally reminds me of the RC car i had, everything i fixed i upgraded to fix it! SO NO PICTURES, I'M SORRY FOR THE CAPS AND NO PICS. IT IS FREAKING POURING OUT THERE. BUT I GOTTA SAY, THE FENDER AND THE BUMPER ARE NOW OFF, AND I'M SAD MY TRUCK IS DEAD... But i did fix that belt problem... 6250rpm's later the OEM belt wins.
Um Um wow ah sorry to here about your truck? At least your doing wanted upgrades on everything that you replace.
Thanks for the replies, I'll be trying to fix that e-brake thing... If you release the e-brake fully, something REALLY rubs on the driveshaft. So with a nice bar i'll try to bend that back. That's step number one for getting back on the road. Step number two is taking out that ripped out bulb from my signal bulb socket thing.... and put that back into teh corner lamp. zip tie that back til i get a fender.... Hey, am i supposed to touch anything til insurance sees it? Hahahaha and totalled is when the truck's damage is more than its worth? i got a DLX... well, fender is out of repair, bumper is goner, Valance can definitely be bent back... I did it before lol, but i want a different valance anyway.. left side was f^cked up from a ice block on teh road, the right side took a hydrant. Can you say bad ass? Anyone know the name of that cross member tube after the swaybar? it bolts on and off... well mine is immaculately bent... Not sure where i'd find one but im sure most junkers are pretty good shape for that part. I'll get a pic later. Back to the replies.. yeah, i really think my truck is tired of the 2x2 sheetmetal... bad luck has been chasing it.. Belt problem has been fixed, motor is finally fine. My friend used to say, the truck is nice, outside the engine bay.... now its the front end lol. I'm glad this at least happened, time to walk towards 4x4 parts. the hood is fine, except for this dent i still have pushed out... i tried finding a plunger too. Rad Support and "fender apron".... how do i straighten these out? I might be buying new ones..... there's so much to add.... thanks for more replies
PICS lol Beware the truck is stripped down, and some of the rad support has been pulled back. Sooo the truck doesn't look that "ugly/ damaged". but Idk, some things got hit... includes Tranmission crossmember mount... doesn't look serious.. yet. Right LCA has some part of it dented in on the bottom, but doesn't look like it would've affected anything. but that one bar that goes from the bottom of the LCA to the front of the frame is bent. that fire hydrant is friking heavy This one Dent.... Good left rad support Bad right rad support SO, either the rad support, valance, fender, and bumper took the kill.. OR this guy stole the kill. Trans mount thing The rubbing ebrake stuff, and the driveshaft This was much more bent earlier.. Bumper,, somewhat bent back to remove it from the vehicle... poor plate From the rear Here's my exhaust setup... if you actually look, the thing that the exhaust hanger mounts to is REALLY BENT BACK.. Owch Some stuff Here's the fender apron thing somewhat pulled back
thats the main reason i swapped my front end, i got in an accident on my driver side... hey post pics of the corner lamp that u put the blinker in i wanna see
Lmfao, alright. This is where they're sitting now.. Herro Jeremy This took some time, like seriously The exhaust hanger Crumple zone Grille already had a crack from previous accidents and ****
