i tagged my truck with a stencil and took it on a lil joy ride for a couple hrs, all around the seattle area. got followed for 2mi while driving under the speed limit by a cop that eventually passed me and gave me a thumbs up.

i think a under construction tag is a get out of jail free card, and driving around a stripped truck is almost as cool as driving a finished one.

just like this, im also missing the nose cone/grill and have about a sq ft of bare rusty metal showing on the fender.

lil better pic of the tag/stencil

I don't consider mine an under construction project like some others, though.

What if we're just scared of "the man" in general? "He" hasn't done much lately to make us trust him.....

Nice looking project!!! I have driven stuff under construction before, it is a little nerve wracking. I noticed the Mustang Cobra wheels and was wondering if anything needs to be done to bolt up mustang wheels to a 1986 2wd truck...

I driven my trucks without the bed, no fenders or hood at one point or another during my build process. Ive also driven my Eclipse before without the
front bumper or hood...hell one summer I too the hatch off just see what people would say!!

That's pretty cool! Around here you would be perfectly fine driving that. As long as all the lights work they wouldn't pull you over.

i love driving with no bed! I've been pulled over for doing 70 in a 45 construction zone (unintentional). the cop asked where the bed was, i told him i was doing some work to it at home, and he was fine with it. it's actually worked great before. one day i slept in an extra hour, when i got to work i told them the cops pulled me over for "inspection" of my under construction s-10 and my boss believed it!

nuff, the lux is lookin sweet!

I've had a 85 and 87 in the color, its called "Creme" I color coded the 85 when I painted it, Its a different color thats for sure but a gay name. the wheels are 5 on 4.5. Id probly roll it after all im rolling my truck with cancer on the bed, only one side of the bed body worked, and 3 different shades of flat black, my truck is nowhere near where I want it to be but if anybody says anything I just tell them, if I had the money to pay someone to do the work it wouldn't look like this. Working on your own truck and beening able to finish a project yourself is more bragging rights than having a finished truck that you didn't do the work on.

Hey is that seattle in the background? It looks like the town from the movie Suburbia (1984). Like a wasteland.
