Just found out the other day that my bro-in-law is going to Cali for 3 weeks for more training then possibly getting deployed to Afghanistan

 

not yet. he leaves to georgia june 2nd. he will get back mid august, finish high school and then be deployed.

oh, and i'm getting the plate as soon as i register it.

 

They probably won't deploy him right away. They didn't with my bro-in-law (his company is there now), something new they've decided to do cause of lack of experience with other soldiers that have died.

 

then he'll walk into the problem of less suspension travel. I personally think that tucking just the tires would be enough. but you know, trim those bumpstops and tucking lips of a 17" wheel would be intense!

 

man it sucks. i want to lower the new 79 already, but i'm trying my best not to.

i'm trying to figure out how to downsize my fleet. i want to sell the 66 mustang, toyota 4x4, s-10, and part out the 79 long bed. the wife says i'm not aloud to sell the 4x4.

 

If I had the money I'd buy the 66 Stang for my mom. Why does she want the 4x4?

 

she likes it! she has always like vehicles that sit up high. even in the 04 mustang she cranks the seat up.

i hate it! i'm too fat to wedge into where her scrawny butt sits! i usually adjust the seat back and down before i get it.

 

so im thinking im going to sell my ****in truck... im just gonna buy another one that has all that **** on the interior that i want, ill keep my 60/40 split to put into the new one... go to a junkyard and get some OEM 4runner ****... wont be that hard to get in there a second time... it seems THIS truck just wants to give me problems.

well the dash is a single din and is ugly as hell w/o cupholders, so i bought all that stuff from the junkyard last week, well basically got it for free from danny boy since im givin him some seats but i went to install it all today and instead of it being a quick n simple swap i ended up having to hack away extra plastic and after all that, the **** still didnt fit! and on top of that, my truck is a 4 speed with 229,000 miles on it... im just overreacting cuz im really pissed but i really wanted that dash to fit! now i gotta HOPE that the pickup i found most of my **** outta is still there this week if i can make it out there

 

i wouldn't get to excited!..... just wait till its time to bag it and companies ship you wrong parts, suspension doesn't align right etc... then you'll know what frustrating really is!

 

lol that made me feel a lil better... i hope just buying the dash shell or w/e its called solves my problem cuz im over trying to force that **** to fit

 

the yard i go to sells complete dashes for $50. but i don't think i've ever seen a 89-95 toy in there.

 

including the face, stereo surround n all that?

 

yep, complete. its hard to find toyotas there though. they r usually picked clean before i see them.

 

yea im bummed cuz i saw one that was fresh there and now im sure its been picked thru and thru by now
