so i ordered all the stuff do bag the hilux from various places. i went to fbirides.com since they supposedly sell a bushing with a 5/8" stud, and weld in bung. this was on april 22nd.

i patiently waited, checking the website everyday, and the order status showed "reviewed by mike on 4/23/09. today i finally said **** it and called them.

the first time there was no answer.

the second time phil answers and i tell him the situation. he says to give him my number and he'll call me back in 15 minutes (he said he would go to the shipping department). i waited 1 1/2 hours for a return call and never got it.

i called again and troy answers. i told him i wanted to talk to phil, and of course he says he's on the phone with someone else. he said he would check on the bushings, and to call him back in 10 minutes.

i call a fourth time 15 minutes later and mike answers. (i had sent him an email about a week before asking him about the parts.... he never responded.) i told him i wanted to talk to troy. of course troy is on the phone with someone, and mike says to call back in 15 minutes.

20 minutes later i call for the 5th time... troy answers and says to hold. about 2 minutes later he picks back up, and i explain again what i want. he says " well it turns out were out of the bushings". i say fine, just credit my card back, then he says i have to transfer you to mike, since he handles the refunds. i wait a good 5 minutes and mike answers. he says (like a dumbs**t) how can i help you. i start to tell him why i'm pissed off, and he interupts and tells me he can send the bungs to get me going. WHAT THE HELL GOOD IS BUNGS WITHOUT BUSHINGS? and also offers to send heims instead of bushings. i say no.... just refund the money and i'll go to aim.

so in about three days i'm supposed to see my credit back on my account...

i will never deal with fbi again, and i recommend that nobody else make the mistake of dealing with them either:brickknock::brickknock::brickknock:

i had the $100 membership. i had first bought taillight fillers and caddy buckets for my s-10. they both fit like crap. the caddy buckets i bought for the toyota are from aim. they fit much better and were a thicker gauge steel.

their site is www.airbagit.com people complain about them as well, but i have never had an issue with their service of parts.

thats what i was going to do, but i ended up paying the whole price myself.

i would say so. you not opening the door of a 60's chevy. toyota's pop pretty easy. i think the 35lb kits would be fine. everything you need should come in the kit.

i wouldn't think so. i install 40 amp relays on tarp systems at work that use winch motors. they don't pop 40 amp relays so i doubt a door solonoid would.

the biggest complaint about aim is that they have like a 25% restocking fee even if they mess up the order. theyre customer service is okay at best. ive dealt with both and choose fbi over aim. now granted i havent used fbi in a couple of years so they mightve changed some since then. but they were always helpful when i had a question. i even bs'ed with one of them for like an hour while they were checking on parts and talking about bodydropping my buddies s10.

aim is local for me. i go into their place when i get stuff, so nothing is ever wrong. last time i went we were bs'ing and i noticed minitruckin mag sitting there. i mentioned the yota on the cover and they told me to take it. i already had the issue so i turned it down. then they offered truckin, but i would feel like a cheater to my beloved minitruckin. if you ever get a chance to tour the facility do it. its pretty cool.
