Okie so other than corner lights is there any other stuff needed for the fender swap? And how do the 4x4 fenders look with the 2wd box? Is the 2wd Box the same as the 4x4?? Thx Guys
If you want, you would need the 4x4 fenderliners. Other than the corners and that, it is a direct bolt on.
I am 99% sure the bed is the same. I think the 2wd look alot more agressive with the 4wd fenders, they look good with the bed. I can get a pic of mine down the side to show if you want?
Actually I'm pretty sure the boxes are different. I remember back in the early 90's when the 2nd gen Toy's boxes were rusting out. People were selling mint boxes for a fortune but it was real hard to find one for a 4wd.
The 89-95 2/4wd beds are the same...Toyota got smart & decided to make one bed that would fit on all there trucks to save money. Now they was a different on the 84-88 model trucks.
Yeah I think our generation is made the same now though... before I believe they were different (pre 89)
I know the 84-88's have 2 different beds. And you said it yourself, the 2nd gen's. The 89-95 are not the 2nd gen.
Thanks. I actually still need to paint mine. Here's my build thread, you can see the changes. http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1899
if you are guna run your truck with the steelies for a while (like me...) and can't afford new wheels and tires, i think we should get spacers... i mean, to fill that nasty unflush wheel to outer fender edge gap... it bothers me sooo much!
I can't afford them either, but I'm not too worried about it now. What I was thinking of doing was getting some chrome beauty rings for the wheels.
