Motor and transmission mounts welded in and engine in place ...firewall trimming a def must here ...went back into cab about 2.5 in ...but achieved goal of stock hood ... Most likely will recess the whole firewall 3 in into cab.

 

Hope that trans mount hold the torque.. great progress.

 

Looks good, nice job using the stock hood, is the oil pan custom? Also, do you have a plan to get the trans out if need be? If the crossmember isn’t already all welded in, maybe consider drilling and nut/bolting it in at the ends.

 

Knock off 302-1 holley pan ... Trans member is welded in ...so I dont plan on it coming out lol

Really like what you're doing with your truck! Is this the Forerunner hood you picked up from the yard? If so, what makes it different from the truck hood? I'm putting a carb'd Vortec in my dually and I can already foresee problems with clearance!

Same here. Can't find trucks in any known yards! Found a 4runner Monday. Noticed the fenders are flared and mine on my 2wd aren't. Wonder how it would look!

 

4wd fenders are the way to go
