Hey! I just made the transition from chevy van life to the amazing world of Toyota with a $1000 76' toyota chinook/hilux. I have a cracked exhaust manifold and it's pumping tons of fumes into the cab. I can't seem to find one anywhere! No pick n pull, no toyota shop. Anyone know where I can get one in southern California for a decent price or other models that would fit my chinook? Please help!

Any 20R exhaust manifold will work. (if you have the 20R engine).
Toyota had major problems with exhaust manifolds cracking. It was caused by the design of the factory heat shield.
Worst case, you could pull the manifold and take to a weld shop or buy an aftermarket header setup.
    Good luck. Fred

Or find an early 22R and use the header

Thanks Fred! Are there any specific make and models I can get a header from that will match it?

I think anything up to 83 should work. Only issue might be the downpipe off the header. 20R goes 4-1, early 22R goes 4-2-1

I think the 22R has rectangular ports. Not sure it will fit the 20R. I'm not 100% sure, but worth checking before buying.

Just checked Marlin Crawler. The intake manifolds are different. The exhaust should be the same.

OK thanks! I think I read something about that not matching up exactly. Would I want to trim the exhaust pipe or the header to make it fit would ya say? Thank you for your knowledge with this! I was lost with out hope for a second there. Haha

You would have to possibly mod the downpipe coming off the header. Header goes 4 to 2. Downpipe goes 2 to 1. But the angle might not fit right

    Bob,
Check your rear axle. If you have duel rear wheels and only 5 lug axle it's known as a "foolie".
These axles are known to break and the rear wheels will actually separate from the axle (not a good thing).
Best to check before any long distance travel.
