ok i put 3" blocks and mono leafed my buddys 93 standard cab yota and the driveshaft crossmember rubbed the driveshaft. can i cut the crossmember out or what?im slamming my truck but dont wanna tear my drive shaft up
while i think its kinda ghetto to just hack it out, i have seen a ton of yotas missing it and nothing bad happens.
Cut that ****er lol...youll be fine & all you really need to do is trim out the center some just above the driveshaft. I had to do it to my 88 standard cab & had it like that for years!!
I third that, I chopped mine out when I bagged mine and havent gotten to redo it yet the way I like, but no problems here, been bout 7 months this way . . .
chop it Before I bagged mine, I chopped mine up to the top of it, leaving that little bit. I had 3" blocks on monoleaf with flipped overload. You're also going to have to cut the rear gas tank crossmember b/c the axle will hit it. I cut mine at the tank and the muffler bracket on the other side. -Ryan
Just saw you got an extra cab. Just cut the back one and you'r good. You have a 2 piece driveshaft unlike the standard cabs. -Ryan
yup, exactly. my truck was maxed out (dad loaded with too much dirt and bricks and stuff!) and no rubbing
Oh God yes lol...when me & my buddy Jay did the tranny swap in my extra-cab it took us both to hold that sucker in place!! Then with it being a 2-piece it was a all over the place too lol!
