    I did see those but i don't think they will be long enough plus the product doesn't look like it will last. My cable barely reaches where it needs to be and using an OEM piece will give it enough slack.
    My transmission is about 1.5 inches further back then what yours is currently at.

    Keep in mind that you more than likely will need to get a speedo corrector box like I did. It's addition wound up giving me more cable than I really needed.

    How did you figure out the right tooth count? When I tried that other sprocket, it didn't fit just right. It seemed too big and my speedo sensor stuck out a little more than I was comfortable with.

    I forgot where i found the tooth reference chart for the w58. I ordered the correct speedometer gear from that chart.
    It had different Toyota part numbers depending on what gear ratios the vehicle was and I also had to count the rotation of the shaft that drives the speedo gear.

    I would have to measure my cable. It is the original cable though. 22R 2wd 4speed trans. My truck now has a w58. I dont need the gear i only need the 90 degree adapter. So i dont have to bend the cable.

    Aww damn, that chart would be a handy addition here. Anyhow, keep us posted on how accurate your speed is. Now I'm curious.

    fwiw the 4wd cables are longer because the speedo cable threads into the female speedo cable port on the tcase. 79-83 4wd and 2wd early l and g are shorter than the newer g and w, and the R is a little shorter than the G but longer than the L fwiw.
    that being said, i have a toyota celica 82-85 auto speedo cable, an 88 1 ton 2wd speedo cable, and an 81 4wd speedo cable, which are possibly all longer than your stock speedo cable.
    ALSO, there are two metal ears on your firewall near the tunnel which hold your cable in place and the redneck specialty says you can bend these ears and move the speedo cable in a more direct angle so that you get more slack out of your cable. not that i'm tryin to lose any business, ;
    i have longer cables and have used longer cables to combat the issue of having to source a 90* adapter.

    Thanks for all the help and info. I was able to find an adapter off a Supra.
