Bought this hooptie back in 2013 for a grand just to commute back and forth to work. Never really planned on doing much to it until I stumbled upon this site. You guys suck, now I'm spending money on this thing lol Here's the truck when I first got it. It was raining that day so the truck looks 100 times better than in real life. This thing has like 8 different shades of red on it. Half of it is flaking off from a very cheap paint job it's had in the past. That's basically how I rolled for a year and a half until recently I started ordering parts. A couple of nights ago I swapped on a new chrome grill, 4wd fenders, clear corners., and a 4wd chrome bumper. The bumper did not come with hardware so I haven't installed corner pieces yet. Before and after: I have a new valance to put on, have to get hardware for that too. Next comes a 2/3 drop. I have a 3" block kit waiting to go on, and 2" drop spindles for the front. I'm actually posting this as I take a lunch break from the project. Already have left side spindle on. Now back to the garage to install right side! Hope y'all enjoy! Thanks for giving me the bug...
Thanks! Forgot to add, I also installed corner mount mirrors and got rid of the hideous door mount one.
Ha, you talking about the strip down the side? Yea I'm not a fan, but I can live with it. I believe it used to be black but has been painted over with red. Question, can that strip be removed or are there holes in the body panel behind it?
Drop spindles installed... 3" blocks installed... Removed rear bumper...Pics tomorrow in daylight. I've got about 2" between the rear axle and stock bump stops. Will I need low pro bump stops to keep from bottoming out?
I'll invest in some then. My kidneys already hate me for riding around in my service truck all day. They might enjoy a better ride in the yoyo lol
This is a cleaner start that what i had with mine. Lol Hate to say it but the drop is barely noticeable
Thanks. and I know I think it's a mixture of camera angle and black wheels/tires/fender wells all blending together. It is definitely noticeable in person, especially getting in and out. I fear I'm gonna want more drop though.
1" spacers came in so I test fitted my 18's that I've had for a while. Wheels came off a 2013 Dodge Avenger. I think they fit pretty good. Just gotta get different tires for them now. Also still waiting on bumper hardware to show up so I can install bumper corners and valance.
Like the rims. Glad you got the fit just right too. What if anything are you going to do about the center-caps?
Thanks guys Are you referring to the "Dodge" written on the caps? Not sure really. For now they are fine but maybe later on I can find some replacements.
