Alright I've been looking for a pre 75 Hilux for a few months now. I've had no luck and if I did find one it was over priced or a lost cause. Until recently I found this 1973 Hilux on eBay. I battled it out bidding and won it. This Saturday I went to pick it up. It has a fried harness. The guy supplied a new one off of a 77 so I hope it goes on road soon. I need to adjust the brakes and get a new battery. It also has this ugly primer/ bediner crap on it that I'm going to try and remove to get the original paint back. It's peeling already so I hope it isn't to bad. It has a dent by where the front missing bumper. The grille is broken by the headlights on the left side. It looks like it once had 2 fuel tanks. The tank is missing on the passanger side though. And are my tailgate side markers stock? The body is solid over all. The interior is not so bad and the engine and tranny look solid too. Clean CA tittle and smog excempt. After I get it on the road I'm planning on dropping it 4 inches. Has anyone done 4 inches upfront yet? I know the mighty max springs give a 3 inch drop. But I want the 4. I've been told that I wont need a notch at that drop. Just need to know I'm unfamiliar with this gen. Well here some pics...
