okay fellas so im in a dilemma.... I have my 87 Toyota that has air bags on it and I absolutely hate them! terrible ride and handling. I should add the truck has a 305 sbc swap. but I want yous guys opinions on what coil over or other suspension setup would be the best... all input is needed for the best decision. should I go coil overs or something different?!?!? plz let me know... and tell which brand with ur suggestion so I can do some deep research.. plan on hittin a track or road course with the truck if that helps any
Ok, We'll need a lot more info. What kind of setup are you currently running? Can we see pics? It's a really loaded question that you've asked. A bag setup (or namely the air bags themselves) doesn't "ride and handle terrible". There's much more to it than that. The actual bags are just springs, like the ones on your possible coil overs. The only difference is that they are adjustable. Are you currently running shocks? Sway bar? Is the rear a link setup, and if so, which link setup is it? What qualities about the ride now make it "terrible"?
Yea that's a rather loaded question. A simple shock addition/change and the addition of sway bars would make a huge difference.
Also what ride height do you drive at. If the bags are filled all the way then its going to ride super stiff
yep, should be a "sweet spot" where it rides a lil better...try different heights to see where it is better.
