Most likely no. Your truck should be a g series, just like mine.

So is there a limited slip differential that will go right into the G code rear end?

Going by the stout (lite) which had an E series it is possible to bolt a G series in the diff housing, it is just that you have to use the G series axles as it is the spline cut and size that changes.
It is also possible to fit an LSD out of what I believe is called a wonderwagon in the US which was available first in the earlier E and later F series, as I understand the carrier in e f and g series have many parts that are interchangeable such as the bolt pattern that holds the crown wheel is the same. the main difference is the size of the carrier and the internal spider gears and the size axle and spline that fit in them, don't worry about overall strength of even the E series as they are refferd to being stronger due to design than a ford 9" and are used here Australia and WA is western Australia in a class of sprint car [IMG]

    Edit

As I found this in my bits I will post it as well, not my words

Thanks for the bumps guys! anything can fit if you have a grinder and a welder.... haha!

Seriously, "F" "T" "G" series diffs all different bolt pattern and axle spline counts... Please check your "Data" plate uner the hood or door jamb to make sure you know what rear axle you have...

Is there a way for me to change the ratio ? Like swapping my ring gear ?
I currently have 3.58s and the truck mostly is driven on the highway

Yes, you can change the gear ratio but not just by swapping out ring gears. The pinion gear also has to be swapped. Its a pretty tedious process to get the backlash, pinion depth, etc correct...

This gear ratio is not great for gas mileage but it'll definetly be fun to drive! Acceleration and two tire fire!! :headbang:

Could be so, just depends which locker you buy and how much your local shop charges for setup.

Just about to start a build.... is this compatable with a 88 rear end on a base truck?
